The springtime was very rainy and cool, consequently there was a strong development of the vegetation of the vines and a good water reserve in the soil.  The temperature was below average well into the summer. The frequent rains caused the development of downy mildew (plasmopara viticola), but luckily the damage was low in our vineyards. We foresee the beginning of harvest to be later this year in comparison to the previous vintages.
